区里妇联大会，刘星专门为大会举办了一场文艺晚会，请来了不少腕儿，还专门排了一个反映妇联为受虐待妇女撑腰说话的小品。演出开始了，可小品中扮演受害妇女丈夫的著名演员大山因飞机延误没来，有人建议取消这个节目，但刘星死活不肯，因为这个节目是区妇联主任亲自编写的。同样的原因也不能换国内的演员，无奈，刘星又去租来了杰克。好在杰克的戏很简单，只是装作一个酗酒的丈夫只在台上停留很短时间。杰克很快就背过了台词，但这时听到了大山已经起飞的消息，杰克又回到了酒店。演出开始了，大山乘坐的飞机因机场无法降落又飞了回去了，刘星无奈又请来了杰克，但被杰克狠狠地敲了一下。临上场的瞬间杰克突然怯场了，为了找感觉和体会角色，刘星让杰克喝点酒，没想到杰克喝大了，刘星怕出事，死活不让杰克上场，可此时杰克是谁也挡不住了。场上一片彩声，刘星以为是观众的倒彩悔恨不已，一阵阵的掌声笑声，晚会达到了高潮，杰克抱着一大抱鲜花和满脸的红唇印走下台来。惊喜不已的刘星接到了妇联主任亲自打来的祝贺电话，并要求明天加演一天，妇联包场，要让全市的妇女都能看到这场精彩的演出，而且要请市里的领导出席。刘星大喜过望宴请全体演员，席间问杰克，刚才他在台上是如何演的，杰克醒酒后，一点也记不起来了。
